If you don't want the game to run into memory problems then you need to reduce the memory burden on the game.

Full worlds, larger maps, the number of mods, and (IIUC) especially some of the larger mod packs, all increase the memory requirements on the game. So more things in the game, means more memory needing to be used. IIUC, the game uses memory to store data structures. I believe this is on Tynan's to-do list, but whether or not it materialises in A17, A18, or AXX is unknown. Well if you don't want to hear that answer then the only other real answer is to wait until the memory problems are addressed/improved in a future release. This neither completely fixes this problem, nor do want to play without them. Since my system has 32 GB Ram there should be quite some Ram to spare, but I guess 4k is the limit due to Rimworld being a 32 Bit program (at least I heared that) Once I came through the world/map generation without any crashes, they mostly disappear, as long as I don't open the world map again. When playing longer games (3 hours+) I also get the 'System out of memory' error in my game. This mostly occurs when Rimworld uses about ~3,6 GB Ram, so basically whenever i generated a world, a new map, or when i try to visit the world map in one of my savegames. used: 30721B | peak: 0B | reserved: 4390912BД¬ould not allocate memory: System out of memory!
